Gordon Parks, "A Choice of Weapons"

Gordon Parks was an activist, a writer, a film maker, and most notably a photographer. His 1967 autobiography, A Choice of Weapons is a brilliant study of the connections between art, activism, and progressive social change. (Editorial aside: This would be a great book to read over break. It's widely available on Amazon, ebay, and the other obvious places.)

And here's another video about his new exhibition at the National Gallery of Art in DC.
