Below you will find links to work by and about two contemporary writers who could not be more different, even though their names differ by a single consonant. Tao Lin represents the "Alt-Lit" movement, which is often characterized by hyper-personal, hyper-informal, non-literary styles. Tan Lin, on the other hand, uses language in a way that is devoid of any personal or individual style that could be attributed to an author. He has coined the term "ambient poetics" to describe his method.
You might not have time to watch or read all the links to their conclusion. You should, however, have enough time to familiarize yourself with their basic "moves" as artists/writers/thinkers.
