Assignments for Oct. 3 (conference) and Oct 5 (final paper submission and upload)

 Next week you'll be working on the essay for our second unit: Genre Fiction and Science Fiction.

On Monday, Oct 3, I'll meet with each student to discuss progress. Which of the four stories are you planning to concentrate on? Why? What evidence are you going to bring to your essay? What will your essay "say" about the issues that the stories raise? Think about other related questions.

On Wednesday, Oct 5, your single-spaced 1-2 page essay (proofread carefully) is due no later than 9:00 am.

Remember to use textual evidence. 

Extra credit: Use hyperlinks in your essay to point your reader to quality supplementary information.
