Some of my Art/Writing Projects
Start to brainstorm about how to make your final creative project. You might want to work on a traditional manuscript or a chapbbok/zine. You might want to make a website, a video, a suite of images (photos/drawings/collage/etc. You might want to do some kind of documentary work. The whole wide world is open to you. Each project will be accompanied by a brief three paragraph essay that situates your work in terms of history, concept, intention, etc. We'll be talking more about this in class in the coming days. This project is due the Wednesday after Thanksgiving. Class that day will probably go long. Details to follow.
Below are links to some of my art/writing/poetry hybrid projects. I don't believe that writing should be confined to the dead (default) space of the traditional page. I do, however, fully accept the validity of what I'm calling the traditional page. I'm just not that interested in making my own work that way.
