Meret Oppenheim's Surrealist Masterpiece: Object (1936)

Meret Oppenheim was only 23 when she created the most iconic object of the Surrealist movement, Object (1936). It was the first work by a woman acquired by MoMA, where it still draws crowds. What is the power of this object? Is it initially beautiful before it becomes disgusting? Or maybe the other way around?
