In that spirit, here is an essay written by an undergraduate student that could stand as a model for your essay. This essay, "The Speaking Epiphany in Beckett's "Not I", is focused on analyzing the actual text. Look closely at how the writer incorporates the primary text as part of the analysis. This will always serve you well.
For your essay, you do not have to cite sources or include a "Works Cited" page. You are free to do so if you please, but it isn't required.
