About the Google N-gram Viewer
The graph above is interesting for a number of reasons. Look at the meteoric rise for Joyce, Pound, and Stein from 1920 to the early 1960s. Look at the steady drop for four of the writers from 1990 to 2000. Joyce seems to be on an uptick, and the three bottom writers seem steady.
Please keep in mind that this database, Google Books, is famously imprecise. I would never use the N-gram Viewer as a research source, but it is interesting all the same.
